My dear friend (now in her 70's) gave this to me when I was a teenager! It belonged to her Grandmother. My friend has no children and saw fit to pass this to me knowing that I would cherish it! I don't know much about it other than it is old, it has the original mirror and I believe original hardware and is in good repair and I LOVE it!!! I would like to know more about it, if you have any ideas please pass them on to me. Thank you so much!

WOW! I actually have the slate bed that matchs this dresser! It is posted here in show and tell. I know that my bed was made in/around 1870 because of the markings and it was handmade. But, that is all I know about it. Mine was purchased in Ohio. :)

I like your dresser. My mother -in -law purchased, for her mother, with her first paycheck a antique dresser .That was in 1920,the dresser with mirror is over 7 foot tall with a marble top.Still in nice condition and to my knowledge has never been refinished.Sorry don't know the age of the dresser or how to post photos.

Amazing that I have the exact same dresser and mirror frame, but no mirror. Wow, I had to look twice, they are so much alike. I need a mirror!!

Is this late 1800s? It looks early 1900s to me. hmmm google time I guess...

I tend to agree with sanmorel regarding the age. The dove tail joints don't appear to be hand made and the knobs appear to be more modern as well dating the piece after 1890 to 1920.
