I didn't know what this was, but i did find it amongst pieces of old tail-lights. Does anyone know of a particular kind/date of car which used these? I'd love to know more about it.

how big is the diam.?
the glass is 4.25" across.
does anyone recognize it as a particular tail-light lens?
AFTERMARKET TAILLIGHTS ,iM NOT SURE THESE "CAME" on anything,most were used on trucks and buses. 1930's-'50s look through my "collection" on CW for "what the..." and in there ,I have these lit up in my garage.There are many different styles.
look up ols schools busses there came on them

I own one of these also, I've always have been told it's most likely an old work trucks tail light.
