Willem Heesen large dish 34 cm diameter and 6 cm high signed 800418 W Heesen on a black background the main color is white with a white background it turns dark grey.dont know much aabout this tecnique heesen used it alot its called Studies in Filigrano.

Willem Heesen studied at the glasschool in leerdam from 1943-48
his teachers where amonst others a copier and s valkema.
he started workig as a designer at the factory after his studie in 1948
he designed glass sets,and bowls but also Unica pieces.
when copier retired he became head designer in 1967.
After his retirement in 1977 founded his own glasstudio the " Oude Horn " in Acquoy with his son bernard heesen. I lot of people worked at the oude horn amonst others Copier , Lino Tagliapietra
