Hello, I am having a rather difficult time finding online a postcard similar to mine (see attached photos), so I am wondering if anyone could help me out with a time period, or even just some general search terms I can use to help in my research.
The bottom back of the card is marked MD 283-26B / Litho in U.S.A
Thanks for any help!
Hello,
this card dates from the late 1950s to early 1960s. These are referred to as "Busy Persons Correspondence Postcard". This type of card was more popular in the 1930s to 1940s. Typically these cards had multiple answers to questions with a comical illustration. By the time your card was printed, the concept was dated, people could easily phone a loved one if a message was necessary. Anyway, it is a neat card. I hope this helps.
Yes, it does...help a lot, thank you so very much!
Thanks, but how in the world do I start? There must be so many many emblems!!
So, I figured out the Fleur De Lis at the North point of the compass is common, and that usually a "religious" symbol will be at the East point...but I still cannot figure out what religious symbol the M represents?
