Tiffany Favrile; the American original

While I'm on the subject of Aurene & Favrile, I thought that LCT deserves equal time. Louis C. Tiffany did not invent iridescent glass, but his Favrile glass was and still is one of the most imitated and coveted types of Art Glass, period. The Art Nouveau movement in America would not have been the same without him, and his influence stretched across the globe. Not that this is news to anybody out there, but how many of us started collecting art glass because of LCT (and/or Loetz I must ad)? My hand is up.
