These decanters are very pretty and pop quite nicely under blacklight.I've seen quite a few of these turned into lamps.

Hi. Love these! I see that these are labeled decanters -- they're very similar to barber bottles. Could they possibly have served two purposes? I am very ignorant about decanters and barber bottles : o Thanks!

Thanks inky and miKKo !! I'm glad you asked miKKo . I never really questioned it but just googled these and they were actually vinegar bottles.Adding link...scroll down after you click on it and you will see one with the label.

Hedge, you are an excellent sleuth! Thank you very much. I just spent a few moments on Wes Cowan's auction site. I think that perhaps I've seen this shape there before - with a different terminal, perhaps, and labeled for auction as a 'barber bottle'. Can't put my finger on it at the moment. It would have been milk glass, since that is one of my favorite searches....REALLY nice vinegar bottle! miKKo

Thanks again miKKo .Custard Glass is often mistaken for milk glass. It is definitely shaped like a barbers bottle.
