My great grandfather in his Coast Guard uniform, sometime right after the end of WWI, with his new bride. The second pic is their son, my grandfather at age 17 in his Navy uniform at his base in New York before he shipped off to the South Pacific. He served in both the South Pacific and the European campaigns.
