Federalist Rocker? Please help identify this style:)

I was told this is a 'Federalist' period rocker - yet I cannot find anything on the web that substantiates that. It is in beautiful shape and a woman said it was purchased at an auction in Denver, Colorado, in 1960. Hopefully someone can help me identify the style/period and approximate value.
