Another early example of QUEZAL Art Glass with an iridescent green optic ribbed body decorated with iridescent platinum to gold five petal flowers and iridescent vine trailings.
Engraved on a concave polished pontil: QUEZAL 180
with an elaborate scroll
Ooooooh, this is amazing. The color!
TALL, DARK AND HANDSOME.
Love it! Question; does the scroll under the signature indicate an early piece?
dasullywon, thanks as always for your comments, the scroll is thought to indicate two things: 1. Quezal considered these pieces to be superior examples and 2. the scroll in my estimation is found on the earlier examples, prior to say about 1910.
Thank you again, JZZ. It's both an education and a pleasure.
