I was told it is from the mid-late 1800's. Inside are small tin containers that have seeds. I'm not sure if they came with the box (seed tin) or if someone just stored them in an empty tin from something else. I'm pretty suire the tins are either seed tins or spice tins, but the box doesn't look like the right size and shape for either. All I can tell is that it was originally a red tin with yellow lettering. I can make out the faintest remnant of what I think is the letter "E" as the first letter. The person who gave it to me told me it was either a match tin or collar box. I've been searching through every book I can find and online and I don't think this is correct. I'm trying to find out anything I can on the company that might have made it and what it originally contained. Can anyone help me?
