Good Morning Fellow Collectors,
I hope that everyone's day is off to a good start! As most people who have seen my previous items posted know, I am not a collector of unique and collectable vases, bowls, or glass work in general. I love looking at all of these items when posted, I just don't know enough or have the money to collect them. I ran across this dish a while back at a yard sale and had to have it. It was described to me as a "Sputnik" dish, and was only a couple of dollars. I am assuming that it was named after the Russian satellites from the 60's. I grew up in the 60's and 70's watching and reading anything I could about the space races. Hopefully some one on here will be able to provide me with more information. It looks to be made out of aluminum, and the legs look like bakelite. It is 3 1/2 inches tall, 6 1/2 inches across the top, and 2 inches wide across the bottom. It has "Mirro Medallion", and "Made In The USA" stamped on the bottom. I really can't find a category for this, so I will try and find something close. Have a great day, and thanks for looking ! Thrifty Gypsy
Thanks BELLIN68 for the love and the comment. I did not know that Mirro was made in Wisconsin. I will file that little tidbit for future reference ! Hope you are having a great day ! Thrifty
Thanks for the great information on my Mirro Bowl, Sean. I really appreciate you looking that up for me! Thrifty

Love this! Unfortunately I don't know a thing about it, but I certainly appreciate it from a design perspective. Enjoy it in good health! :)
Thanks VolDeNuit for the love, the comment and the good wishes. I thought it definitely had a retro 60's look about it, and I just could not pass it up. Thrifty Gypsy
