I am in need of information regarding the dating of this sign. It measures 46 1/2 x 94 1/2 inches. From my knowledge of the bar that it came from, I'm guessing mid to late 60's era. However, I seem to remember an article on dating advertising similar, regarding coding on signs, can't put my finger on it though. This reads, P1041. Enamel paint, not baked enamel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

can someone tell me about the cost of such a large sign?
    2. laurence mueller, 14 years ago
Hilary, I have this priced between $250-$300. depending where you are trying to sell. some bites @ this price, but then of course you get the insane questions, like watch this video and tell me if it is the exact same sign and so on. And of course there are those who want to buy low and sell high, and they will offer half of what you are asking. Right now it hurts nothing hanging on the wall in the garage. hope this helps you.

We have this this same sign with the same "P" number. On the left corner it list Milwaukee, Wis Peoria Ill Los Angelos Cal Newark NJ and Pabst GA. Since GA was on it and that factory was open in 1971 the town of P 1041 means. American Pickers said it was the date the sign was made but that is clearly untrue about this sign since there is no way it could have been made in Oct 41 due to when Pabst had the factory in GA. Would like to more more about the sign too.

Part of my message was deleted. Factory in GA began in 1971 and the Perry GA was known as Pabst GA until 1983 when it took back its original name of Perry.
