So this is my recent score. Found it at a rummage sale for $3. Its a 19th century Chinese gambling token of carved MoP, set in 14k gold with pearls, garnets, and emerald accents, 14k clasp.

Apparently the Brittish brought back a ton of these tokens a hundred years ago, and a lot of them have been set in jewelry. It looks so pristine though, do they make reproductions of these things? Does anyone have any info on them?

I wonder as it has the colours of the Suffragette movement it may be a piece of jewelerry from that time!...:-)

From 1908 the WSPU adopted the colour scheme of purple, white and green: purple symbolised dignity, white purity, and green hope. These three colours were used for banners, flags, rosettes and badges and in jewellery

It does have the suffragette colors, but I think its a modern piece. Its also Chinese, and I don't think they made any suffragette jewelry

Asian antiques can be risky to deal in, but I've been going into it, the market is just on FIRE right now. Furniture auctions have been sourcing ten times the prices they were a decade ago, everything has just gone through the roof. My last five or so most valuable items have ALL been Asian
