    Nice old table picked up in virginia. Has an extra board to make wider but i think im going to bring back ti original size

      What kind of wood? Some stains can be bleached out but I shy away from that. Does it have good grain worth spending time on or are you wasting time?
      These are things U have to consider. I love wood with beautiful grain but don't waste time on work-bench grade.

      I like it the way it is recommend you don't touch it!

      Character is hard to replace once you start messing with it. I have seen a lot of over refinished pieces that don't even look like antiques anymore.

      I am definitely not refinishing it. There is an added piece of lumber to the top that i want to remive. And bring back to original size.
