I moved into a rental house about a year ago and the owner of the house left a sewing machine in the house and said that we could have it. Its probably worthless since she gave it to me. It is a nice machine, but I just cant seem to find any info on it or the company on the internet. It is a cool piece, and I will probably never get rid of it. I just want to find out more about it.
I believe "lion crown" is the model of sewing machine. The crown on the base is was indicitive of the Florence sewing machine company. They made models of sewing machine like queen, crown, etc. Say it would be about early 1900s maybe? I would venture to say the cabinet is not original. Beautiful machine.
Wish I could offer more info. Besides your right it looks to be acool piece
Thanks for sharing.

I do not know about this make of machine , but I do collect and restore vintage and antique Singer sewing machines . Your machine does have some value , just because it is in such good shape . The cabinet top does look to be off another newer cabinet and not original to your machine . Your machine is what is called a class 15 because of the top tension assembly being on the left end of the machine . I would love to have your machine for my collection , but I have no idea of where I would put it .
This machine is a Japanese import - it's beautiful but it's not a Florence. This machine probably dates to the 1950's or late 40's. The JA numbers can sometimes identify maker, what are the numbers on the lower edge?
The JA-33 on the edge is a clue to the maker. It's a really pretty machine would be good to find out more. I'm guessing that 'Lion Crown' is embossed into the rods underneath as well?
Are there any other numbers under the machine?
No other numbers that I am aware of.
