I purchase this last week because I loved how it looked, but its broke. :-( So I am wondering is it worth fixing? Or should I chuck out all the old parts and put in a lovely battery operated clock? I could not get any info on the value of the clock so I am guessing its worth $30.00? Anybody know? Will I ruin it and regret it later?
I looked in Tran Duy Ly's Seth Thomas book and could not find your exact clock.
I found one in wood on page 350 but without the swivel, called the "Petite" 1 & 2.
A good watchmaker can fix it for you. Don't put a battery movement in it unless you save the old mechanical movement.
Thanks! Thisoldwatch for trying to find something about it. The only other thing I know about the clock is the owner was an aviator in WW2. I will check out petite 1 & 2.
Hi ar8jason! The winder won't budge to wind it up. When I got it the man said his mom had put it in the basement to have it eventually fixed. And it sat there forever since.
Thanks for the advice!
