Old Chairs??

A friend recieved these chairs when an elderly friend passed and we were wondering if they're old and/or about how old. They are a little smaller than regular kitchen chairs but the carvings at the top of the chair is unique. The seats are done in needlepoint with flower patterns. Any info? Thanks.
