Here are some Planters Peanuts Mr. Peanuts items. The first two photos are of a metal knife that was probably part of a spoon, knife, & fork set. The second is a Mr. Peanut bank, which came in many different colors. And the third is a plastic Mr. Peanut spoon.

These items could be purchased at Planters Peanuts stores, or by sending in empty peanut bags to Planters' headquarters, which at that time were located on South Main St. in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Yes, Bellin68, Mr. Peanut items are priceless and timeless. My friend's brother worked at the Wilkes-Barre headquarters. One of his tasks was to get into the Mr. Peanut suit and walk around, handing samples out. He also got to take home the premiums that Planters' would send out to those who fulfilled the premium criteria (usually, a few empty bags and postage money). So, over the years, he amassed quite a few items. When he passed away, his sister (not being knowledgeable of the collection's value) sold the items to an unscrupulous buyer for a mere bag of shells! How sad to be victimized by a sharpie!
