The first picture is an ashtray for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad. It was manufactured by Buffalo China, and is in perfect shape. Complementing is the C&O matchcover.

Next is a Conrail, Norfolk Southern & CSX mug from an Operation Lifesaver trip that took place on August 9, 1995 going from Indianapolis to Terre Haute, Indiana.

The Lehigh Valley pencil is probably from the 60s.

And the Santa Fe Super Chief Turquoise Room ashtray is a souvenir from that exclusive section of that famous train.

Thank you, BELLIN68! I think that they are great, too. The C&O ashtray is one of the gems of my collection.

I collect all kinds of things, but have a special interest in railroad, drinks, and sports items. Well, I could be involved in worse activities!

Ya never know, that rare stuff could be found at least suspected places. Keep your eyes open, and it will appear...sometimes miraculously! Go to as many auctions, yard and estate sales as you can. You'll have a good time, and often will come away with a treasure!

Thank you all for your kind comments and informative input...it is very much appreciated!

This is part of the allure of collecting things. The knowledge and items that we share leads to camaraderie and the more knowledge that each of us, the better off we are. And then we can pass that knowledge onto others, which is also good!
