    Have had these in the family for 30+ years. I believe they are nautical buoys used to keep fishing nets from sinking. They originally were enclosed in a roped sling.

      also, the sizes are 12", 6", and 4".

      I found a 6" for my dad in more of a cobalt blue, his favorite color. Had no idea what it was but he has several blue glass pieces, it fit nicely.
