Wow, I want to know how many people here think this was an awesome deal. We were at a flea market type sale and I happened to see some furniture in a pile and asked the man if he minded me looking at it. He said that was okay but it was all trash and junk. I saw a cord in there so followed it. I found this radio. I took it to the man and he said it was junk because it did not work. I said okay and asked how much he wanted.. he said nothing, zero, it was trash. It is actually in really great shape, a few small nicks, one of the ribs on front is cracked, the back seems to have been replaced and with newer screws. The cord and all is in pretty good shape. It comes on but does not pick anything up. So what do you think, good deal, okay deal or trash?

They are pretty nice. I was excited when I found it. I did search for them on the net and I could only find a few and the prices were wild.

LOL, in a trash pile at that. We are going back this weekend. He said he has tons of boxes and stuff we can go through. He has some great furniture we are looking at.

I think you paid too much! I remember 1 of these. Take the back off & take it to a station & have it blown-out with air. That will probably clear it. If not, wash it out with a nozzle on a hose. Don't laugh! If you live near salt, it will "track" elec. where it isn't supposed to go. Had a bad hurricane & my tv was arc'ing all over the back. A friend told me he washed out his with water, waited a wk, plugged it in & it worked. I tried it (nothing to lose), wk later it worked & 5-6 yrs later when I gave it away, it was still working! No joke. what have U got to lose?

Yes, I would try the water and compressed air thing too. It does work, but do wait a week before trying to turn it back on. Try the air first please. Beautiful radio and you stole it!

I offered to buy it, lol. It actually had "Does Not Work" in marker on the top. I really did not think we would get it off. After some research we were able to get it off with nail polish remover and not marks or damage.
