I received this ring from my aunt/ god mother and she said it was my great grandmother's. I would like to hear anything anyone might know about it- how old it might be, if it's worth anything, etc. I love the design and color. But I don't think the stone is a real stone of any sorts. It's beautiful to me whether it's worth a lot or not.. Thanks!

I wouldn't know anything about the age of it, but I do have a bracelet that would make a great match for it. teehee. If you ever want to get rid of it, let me know. It is very beautiful. To guess it' s origin would only be a guess.....

Its an old Fred Harvey ring, Navajo, 1930's-40's. The stone is definitely real, its turquoise. If you want to know what its worth you'll have to check eBay and see what comparable rings are going for.

Thats why I was saying my guess of maker would only be a guess without seeing it up close to see if there were any makers marks. My bracelet has a lot of the same design, for instance the dots and arrow but by a different Navaho artist than what 'Stillwater' stated. I had mine appraised by someone who specializes specifically in Navaho/Zuni silver pieces, mainly to make sure it was genuine. :) Value wise
they are like everything else, they are worth what you can get out of them.
