I bought this at an old run down antique store that was going out of business a few years back. The price tag shows that it was said to be from Lincoln's White House. It's in good condition and quite sturdy for how old it looks. Even if it's not worth much the conversation that it brings about is worth the $30 I payed for it.

i can tell you that all the furniture today in the lincoln bedroom isnt original in the white house...when he was president it was his office and it never was his bedroom ...it was his war rm ..where all of his tough decisions were made during the civil war yrs of his presidentsy.. what iam saying is your chair could be from his time in office ...over the yrs new pcs. were always added into the white house ....and the bushs put in bedroom furniture for the period in lincolns old rm ..so that tells you it wasnt his bedroom ...you would have to get some provenance to back your claim ...and then your chair could be worth more money ......good luck ....Anthony
