My father has a WW1 painted helmet. Eagle and bullseye in front and the words "AEF" and "France" painted on helmet as well. There is a small dent on top of helmet. Does anyone know the value of this helmet?

If real, helmets like this can be worth big bucks. You can do your own research just by getting online but DO YOUR RESEARCH!

Some of the more eccentric camo patterns and rationalizations are worth big money, others not so much. The bullseye looks like an American aviation roundel, if it can be confirmed this could be on the more desirable end.

The two sites I usually look at (that have fair pricing) are:
      http://www.baystatemilitaria.com/WWI/WWIheadgear.htm

      And

      Nice trench art helmet.

ebay will also give you a good idea on what folks are paying.
