This as a post WWII electric sewing machine made in Japan. From what I have gathered the U.S. set the Japanese up with several small industries to stabilize their post war economy. These types of machines, under numerous brand names flooded the market in the years that followed.

Yes, it does work like it was brand new and I do have the top half of the carrying case.

Please feel free to set my story straight if I am wrong.

    Thanks for looking,

I have one of these machines with a different name that was my grandmothers only in green . They are what some people call a clone of a Singer class 15 . They are built every bit as good as the old Singers and are very good machines . Mine will sew just about anything . Right now I have it set up with a walking foot to do quilt bindings . I love using it .

      Nice sewing machine!
I posted a Japanese Singer clone sewing machine a few years ago.
It was a Baby Blue Baldwin made around 1956.
