I am pretty sure it is a tourch. The olny marking on it is on the valve handle and I cannot make it out.I was wondering what kind of tourch it is and how old it is?

Usually used for plumbing when lead was common & can still be used for sweating copper pipe connections.
Wish you hadn't called it antique as I well remember seeing these in use.

blunderbuss2 - Thanks for the info.I'll call it vintage if will make you feel better.LOL
It seems like just about everything in my basement is now vintage, antique or collectible.

Thanks. I would prefer to think of myself as a (good) vintage instead of antique. I might add that I have class. It might be lower, but still, - class.

Remember the older the bottle the finer the wine.

And the more frayed the label. My hairs not grey but ultra blonde.

You need to stop. I am trying to make antique sound vintage and your not making it easy with the frayed label thing.LOL
My hair is true blonde also and has been since I was born.

Mine was & still is. Just ultra. Since I live in the "Wayward Islands" I prefer to call it sun-bleached.
Just fixing to poste some mo junk.
