MYTHOS

I found this wind-up mechanical clock literally nailed to a barn door. The works were rusted in, and the wood rays were turning grey from exposure to the elements. Howard Feed & Wax brought them back from the brink. I searched for, but couldn't find a proper battery powered works at the craft stores, as the shaft was too long. I finally was able to retro-fit it with the works from a vintage Elgin wall clock I scored at a thrift store. I think the hands work fairly well with the original face. The second hand took some getting used to, but it helps justify the loud ticking.
I'm very happy with how it came out. It will work well with the Danish Modern furniture.
Wonderful! And hello Mythos, glad to see you.
Thanks. It's good to be back. I've been attempting to get this clock working since June. I'm really glad it finally came together.
