Will appreciate any information on this tooled/embossed leather case. I do not know really what the purpose is; however since it has a beveled mirror attached to the inside case which has two separate compartments, I imagine it would have been used for traveling purposes. Because of the dark leather color (deep brown) and design, I would think it more appropriate for a man than a lady's use.
The case measures approx. 8 3/4" tall; approx. 3 3/4" wide X approx. 2".
When lifted, the top part of the case stands on the study base to reveal the mirror and open compartments. The case interior measures approx. 4 1/2" deep by 3 1/2" X 2 1/2". The mirror measures approx. 4" X 2 1/2".
The leather is tooled or embossed in a leaf pattern with acorns. The top of the case is soft and feels like it is lined with felt or a similar soft, pliable fabric.
