when I first saw this vase I was sure I saw it before, but I can't remember where :D I looked through some reference resources, but could not find it. does anyone have idea who made it?

just another one with no bidders on ebay... I could not pass it that cheap.
Oh and it has not too pretty polished pontil mark and no signatures.

Thank You all for the loves, so no ideas huh? Can we agree it's bohemian? seller described it to be from 1940's. did not really see uranium threading before this one... is there a maker known for doing that?

Sorry! no idea from me ether, I bet it feels nice in your hand and love the colours!...:-)

Yes Inky :D but I try not to touch it because threading is a very delicate thing don't want to damage it, but I found myself moving from one place to another because I like how sunlight bounces of it and it throws interesting shadows too. :D

hey, does anybody see the resemblance to Kralik Spiral vases? I recently browsed through Kralik site and found them and thought there is something in common.

not kralik to me by the coloring, weight, pontil and ececution of the threading (fused then raised), modern i think but eye catching

the look is very modern.. but with uranium trailing.. I know it's still used here and there but it's not common..

can you show a base pic?

I wouldn't think Kralik either though.

Added pontil mark photo... this is what I meant by "not too pretty" :D

I assumed that fused and then raised effect is unintended side effect because it is very long way from top to bottom and it has to be done in one go, so they had to compensate the temp of glass... I'm not an expert that is just reasoning I found for myself maybe it has some other explanations.

I think it's old because of the pontil mark... on one hand its ground out, but on other it's not very pretty not to "Loetz" standard. If it was modern I think it would be just broken of and left it as it is or torched or ground out perfect. And I think I have seen Kralik pieces with this kind of sloppy pontil mark, but I might be mistaken.

well the look is modern, but there are lots of 20's 30's glass with modern look so that is not very indicative of anything.

I'm anything but firm on Kralik too, I just brought it out as a suspect because of their "spiral" line of glass.

Great coloration but no clue who made it.
