Epitomizing Mid-century Modern design as applied to tableware, Hyalyn Porcelain, Inc.'s 'Casual Craft' line was developed by noted artist and product designer Erwin Kalla and produced in the late 1950s. Promoted as an "outdoor or buffet service, styled for tomorrow's living," the line was limited to serving pieces, as well as buffet plates, mugs, salt + pepper shakers, vases, and ash trays. Glazes used include speckled matte blue, brown, orange, and white/gray. Many pieces incorporate rattan wrapped or bamboo handles.

You have a wonderful collection here. Unfortunately my piece is packed away due to lack of enthusiasm on the hubby's part. I have to pick my battles there : ))
