I saved this painting from a 100+ year old house in the mid-west. When the house was built it must have been almost a mansion for its day.

This painting is 54" wide and 42" tall. I believe this was painted in the early 1900's but that is a guess. It is unsigned as far as I can tell. The painting was in an even larger frame that surrounded the one in the photos. Both frames together made for an ornate display I usually only see in museums. I did the best I could with the lighting of the photos as the painting is dark and certainly still very dirty.

Any help in possibly identifying the painting or the artist would be greatly appreciated. Even guesses and observations of similarities between this painting and others would be welcomed.
