Can anyone tell me what this is? What it is made from? How old is it? It appears to be teeth but all are the same size. It has be turned into a necklace with I believe is newer bone material added to the top of the item. I was told it was not Native American because the design and materials are wrong. It was suggested to be mid-East or India.
Lower half is approx 8" (Teeth area) x 5" across (metal arch to metal arch). Red worn leather inside, strip of green leather, then the teeth are on tan leather. There are metal curved clips with ornate decorative knobs with red, possible painted inside of them.

are those white 'teeth' heavy? can you tell what they are -fabricated or natural, tooth, bone, ivory? it's a pretty piece.

The white teeth are heavy and appear to be natural. There are areas of decay in different spots throughout the teeth . I will add some more pictures of the teeth to show you. Thank you for your interest.

Could these be African Lion teeth K9's or African crocadile teeth? They vary in size but all are approx. 5/8" in length.
