    (73 items)

these are a few of my favorite items -- the two vaseline mermaid lamps came from england with no shades or fitters and had to be re-wired for the states -- got lucky on the globes and found them just recently at a garage sale for 20 dollars each -- the middle lamp is a galle and the two girls are walther sohne's

no problem jay -- i am more than happy to share some information on the girls -- they along with the other items were purchased off of ebay from sellers in the uk -- actually i found three and the third one was in mint condition with the flame globe -- thanks to mail service that one was totally shattered -- the girls are by the german artist walther sohne -- they came without the shades and i found two matching shade for them on a garage sale for $20 each -- the girls are called the rotterdam style which was made in many different colors of glass -- both had to be re wired and had to have new fitters etc installed to accommodate their new globles

two good websites to visit for pics and info on them are

http://www.pressglas-pavillon.de -- click on the name walther on the left side and you can see some of his work

      another is

      black-poppy.co.uk

thanks for asking you made my day

glad you liked the birdbaths -- going to try just responding on my site and see if you get the message

plan on making a birdbath out of the uranium glass dishes i have picked up at a few of the local auctions and garage sale -- i thought it would be pretty during the summer months with a black lite over head as a yard light -- that will really give my neighbors something to think about -- just posted another item of mine -- take a look it is called the goodwill couch -- some of these comments will make more sense after you read the info on the couch

Hi Epson: Your Galle lamp is awesome! Is it period? Does it have any interesting history? Regards.

hi nootch -- well it was an ebay purchase in 1906-- i got really lucky only paid $350 -- it was wired for england and so we had to re-wire it for the usa -- but we kept the old wiring -- had it evaluated and it was well worth the 350 -- which i knew -- since ted and i do restoration work if you do the "read me" on cw-- but the colors go nice at night when i turn on the black lights for the uranium glass in the hallway -- in regards to period -- it tracks down to the 1699 to the early 1700s

have a great weekend -- weather here in vancouver washington is perfect for laying down weed killer and fertilizer for the roses -- it is all posted on cw if you click on my post you will even see my house and the motor home that we have restored

Hi Epson. I just wanted to thank you for posting this. I have the 2 perfume jars in the back, but never knew what the stoppers should look like until now! The lamps are (of course) amazingly beautiful!!!
