Today I bought this cool Singer sewing machine and I know little about it. I was hoping to actually USE it, but after looking at all the attachments and no have used a sewing machine for about 16 years, I am afraid I wouldn't know where to start(to use it). I did look up the serial number but I do not know if it is GO at the being or G-zero. it would date this machine quite differently. I am sure there has to be someone out there that would know the answer without having to blink an eye. The other question I have, and its an important one, on the front right bottom of the bottom case it sits in/on, it looks like there is a place to plug in the pedal? Am I correct? As it came with no peddle, which leads me to my next question, what model is this? I will be unable to find a pedal or a manual if I do not know the model number. The motor on this machine says Simanco Sewing Co. Model # 4210631, not sure if that would help to figure out the model number of the machine or not. Truth be told, I do shop estate sales and sell on eBay, but with that said, I also LOVE and collect old stuff. Thus this purchase. Can anyone tell me what all these accessories are that came with it too? I have seen a lot of these machines over the years and thought this one looked to be in pretty good shape. I have been wanting to sew, so I thought, why not a vintage one. If anyone can give me whatever info they have, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you, Denise

I could tell you some about your machine . However I think I will wait for our self proclaimed expert to fill you in .

Well since no one else has posted anything yet , I will tell you that your machine is a model 128 made in 1911 . It is a G - zero , not GO letters . Some of the attachments in your photo are not for this machine . There are bobbins from another type of machine . It is hard to tell but the round bobbins look to be for a White Rotary machine . There is also a feeddog cover plate that looks like it is for a model 66 Singer . So these attachments and the round bobbins will not work on your machine . But from what I can see the other attachments should work on it .The one attachment to the far right is called a ruffler . It is the one with the little slits on the top . From what I can see the others are different size hemmers . The half round piece with the hole in it that is in front of the screwdriver is the feeddog cover plate that will not fit your machine . Also the hole in the front of the wooden case of your machine is for a knee control . If you have the top cover for the machine the knee bar could be inside the top cover . Or look under the machine to see if it is in the bottom part of the wood case . If not there are sites on the internet where you can order the parts you need . I see that the slide plate is not on the machine . Do you have it ? They often get lost . You may be able to download a free manual for this machine off the interent . If I had your e-mail address I could send you more information and tell you where to find the things that you need to get your machine up and sewing .

Thanks DobbinDee!!!! I am so excited! I did look on YouTube last night and did figure out the hole was for a Knee Bar, nope don't have, but I'll buy one!! After looking at some other videos we realized that the bobbins it uses are the long ones, so ya, the round ones don't go to it. You can email me at dfunkgtenet@yahoo.com. I'm sure I'll have more questions if you offering some of your knowledge. I really appreciate it. Oh, what side plate are you talking about? I see it's missing the plate that covers the bobbin, is that throne you were talking about? Thanks Denise

Denise, this machine G0896527 is from a batch of 25,000 model 128 machines commissioned June 17 1924. http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals if you type 128 into the search box here you will find a free manual. It's ok to use the 127/128 manual as they are the same except that the 127 is the full size and the 128 is 3/4.

your attachments are l-r along the back, closest to the box - adjustable hemmer, edge stitcher, single layer gathering or shirring foot, multi-slotted binding attachment, and ruffler. The one in the front of the row is a rolled hem foot. They are probably not original to this machine but will work, except for the embroidery feed dog cover plate. As DobbinDee has told you, and you could probably tell, the round bobbins are not for this machine. Great that you have some spare long bobbins.
The decal pattern on this machine is called La Vencedora. It's a long shot but the front bobbin cover plate might be under the machine, inside the base?

DobbinDee70 - Just to clarify a couple of things that have been stated above about this machine - it's correct date is June 17 1924, not 1911, you can't ignore leading zero in the G series of serial numbers, they are at the end of the production record, after the ones that start with 999xxx .
The knee control levers for this machine - Singer made a few different fittings for the ends of these - the shape varies at the tip where they connect to the machine base, it's important to know which type you're looking for.
The knee bar for a 128/99 is 15" long and has an angle of 5" width, so it will not fit in the space below a 3/4 machine, which is sectioned by the motor compartment.
I, along with others, share my knowledge freely and happily with the collectors on this site, in the hope that others can learn something from it. I don't appreciate your first comment, regardless of who it was directed at.

It is impossible for any one person to know every single thing about every single model Singer machine ever made regardless !!!!!!

That's very true, there are hundreds of less common Singer models, particularly the industrials, that I know very little about.
