A month ago I was up the end of the street at Vinnies and saw this basket. I had just a new post on my belt buckle and I had been looking at some of the beautiful American baskets on CW. It caught my eye. The colours are so earthy. But the straw itself is unlike the other Papuan pieces that I use at home. I am wondering if anyone can give me an opinion about it.
The design of the six pointed stars reminds me of my silver belt buckle on CW:

It had raised some questions about the nature of a six pointed star.
It is 35 cm across. That's 13.9 inches.
Very nice, I do like the earthy tones to it , a good size for displaying or! using too!....:-)
I really like the 6 pointed star!!! I will watch for one!! great basket!!

They make beautiful baskets i once bought Jude one . I could not pass it up as it is quite stunning , she eit a lot and even had it repaired by a leather worker .
Thanks Marty! This one is not as stiff as the Papuan ones. Millet may well be the go!
Thanks to you too mon amie, Amy!
I first thought of Amazonian baskets but after ozmarty's comment, African seems a better option... but who knows!
Thanks for your opinion too, austro.
I'd thought Apache.....
I then found this basket :
