    This piece isn't marked but my father got it from his work at C&O--probably in the 60s-70s. It isn't marked C&O and may not be but that's my memory. Can anyone help identify this?

      It's a caboose interior lamp. They were mostly made by Handlan, A&W "Adlake", Dressel, Urbano, and H.L. Piper. Some were marked with the Railroad, many were not. This style wall lamp was most widely used in cabooses and inside work cars. It looks from the photo that the burner was removed and someone put a bulb inside. This style lamp was used from the 1940s and phased out by the early 1970s.
