This photo was taken circa 1912.
This is my mother's older half brother, he was born in 1910.
His mother passed away 2 years later from TB, he was raised by his paternal Grandmother.

Gorgeous and soooo sad!!...I bet this was his best going out outfit too!, don't you just love the way they dressed the kids in those days, can you imagine trying to get one of them today in one of those outfits!!!....:-)
Thank you inky for the love & the comment.
It was very sad, but typical of the time, Granny also raised her daughters two children. Then years later took in two more children that were orphaned.
It is a gorgeous photo, I especially love the ringlets.

Another amazing photo! I had no idea that the boys then actually had their hair THAT long! It makes me wonder how many boys I have mistaken for girls.
He would have made a very pretty girl (and here comes the save) but he is definitely a very handsome boy! ;)
Thanks for the love & appreciation share.
There's even a story behind that long hair.
Thanks for the love
