I got this Whitehead and Hoag Catalog in a collection of items I bought out and have no idea the value of it or if it is worth anything at all. What I Know is that it is catalog 137B and it is from 1908. I know this becuase it has letters with it from the Whitehead and Hoag company to a Sons of Veterans camp in my local town.
I tried to look up Whitehead and Hoag Catalogs on the computer but have not found anything Maybe someone could tell if its worth something
Whitehead & Hoag (1892-1951) catalogs (started 1896-97) have always been very collectible for research by those who collect W&H pins (like me). The catalogs used to bring up to a couple of hundred dollars (in excellent condition), but over the last few years their value has come down because you can find so much information on-line for free.
I have a whitehead & Hoag picture of 4 dogs. 1 large and three smaller. It has color and each corner of the picture has a gold bracket holding it together. It is about 6 inches by 8 inches. Can you tell me if this is worth anything? I can't find anything on line about whitehead pictures.
Thanks, Cinda
A 1908 one on Taft and Bryan still bring well over $600. This one however is for made to order buttons I think. I found an 1906 that went for around $100. Things the way they are right now you might even get close to that
Might not I meant
I'd put more desirability on it as a group with the letters. Esp. if the letters mention particular badges from the catalog and you have the badge examples as well.
I would still think that as a group, you'd be looking at less than $100.
i have 3 whitehead and hoag union badges one of them has miembro sociedad
hildalgo and morelos witheir pictures and p.i.c. below them as well as the ribbon how ould i find the worth
Does anyone know if Whitehead &Hoag ever manufactured cast iron wall plaques? They are composed of an eagle sitting on top of a horseshoe. Several hundred varieties were made, mostly for members of late 1800-early 1900 fraternal organizations popular at that time. Several of these are marked on the reverse,"Patent applied for by C.H. Hoag Newark New Jersey. Thanking you in advance for your kindness. Bill Kotrba
after Dads passing, we found a tin box with 140 different award ribbons in all different colors, dating from 1894-1898. Some are mor fancier. Along with was a 2-inch dia. gold colored medalion with, "stating it was awarded for two or more years of service" along with the establishing date of Dept. of Agriculture-1846. i have looked and looked and nothing comes up, even though some of the ribbons have Whitehead & Hoag printed on back at the bottom in fancy capital lettering. It even has patten dates along the bottom, w/month & day, plus year. I am lost? Can anyone refer me or otherwise as to the value or place of "viewing on the internet?? A month now & 100s of hours. The name on the medallion is J. E. Goddard. (in a purple velvet square shaped box, w/Brenner as the medalliur."
I was given a desk letter holder that is from McClellan Music House in Buffalo NY in (I guess) brass and on the bottom of the base is Whitehead--Hoag. I don't think it is an @ sign. How do you suggest I proceed to determine if it has any value. Thanks.

This is the link to someone who has lots of information about the company itself.
Hope it helps!
