    My wife's G.G. Grandfather's 3rd wife Rebbecca, Putham-Cook was her relative. Rebbecca husband died in 1872 her son born 1873. Charles married her this year. Charles bought this house and land before the war 1853 here is his brother was very famous, great story here, the back of this says Merry Xmas from Joshia Pickett he sent this to Charles

      These brother went to California in 1850 for the gold rush, came back to the northeast for the war, both were in the union army. Charles was in many fights and got a shot in leg. He died 1907 and had horse's to 1907. No cars for them, he work for the city here for 20 years this street here is his name Pickett St
