    Antique Piano Stool Metal Claw Feet w Glass Ball
    In very rough shape.Missing the seat,and a piece that went to the bottom center.Still unsure of the type of wood,but it looks to be oak?
    If anything it will make a nice plant stand:)

      I believe it is from the A. Merriam Co. in Mass. It is probably from the mid 1800's. Like you said it is missing the top.
      I agree with you, it would make a pretty planter

      I remember Mama had one of these for her Piano. It had a seat that would Twirl down into that Hole so you could adjust it to the Height it needed to be for the person playing the piano would be at a comfortable level. Thanks for reminding me of those days.

      My Friend have one metal Claw Feet with glass bowl an he belive is a Kind of "Satanic" scepter or a sort of "Massonic" object ........
      You know know how many laughter ,when my friend knows thatis nothing satanic or mysterious in its object nothing ..... Ha! Ha! Ha!
