I know this poster well. This is a Civil War poster circa 1864-1865 and it depicts 2 Generals (one from the North, the other from the South) the poster itself displays a chronological history of the war itself. If this poster is original, it should measure approximately 21" 42" unframed. This is considered a 1-sheet in poster size and is the only size this poster was printed in to my knowledge.
It is hard to tell by your photograph, but it appears to be in pretty good shape. The bad news is this poster is not worth much, approximately $250. to the right buyer, possibly more in auction. But over all a GREAT poster! Nice barn yard find, enjoy.
Correction on the poster size.....it should measure approximately 28" x 42" still a 1-sheet poster size.
Poster is for the Civil War CENTENNIAL-- so circa 1961- 1965.
Not sure on prices but but since Centennial items have now acquired some age to them, I am sure there are collectors for this.

Live Auctioneers poster brought $150.
This example appears to have severe fading to the colors. If the one photo here is true to actual colors, I'd be very suprised to see it bring even half of that auction price.

Ha, Ha, sorry guys meant to add 100 years to the circa date obviously. Looks like I miss-typed the date AND poster size. Must have been the Jack Daniels last night! Still a nice poster, enjoy!
As you may know condition plays an important factor in value and desirability. This particular example shows colors that have faded significantly in the last 50 years (IF the picture is accurate).
Value is significantly less than $250.
