This is a beautiful vase that I could not pass up. The price was 2.00 as you can see. It is not slick, it has dimension but is very smooth. It is such a nice piece. It feels like Roseville...? It measures approximately 9 X 9 inches. I see no signature or marks at all. Usually I can see something under the paint, etc.
The 2.00 mark is not easy to remove. I used alcohol then I used nail polish remover. It would not come off. I obviously washed it all with soap first. There seem to be maybe pencil marks but I am not going to try anything unless you all know what to use. Thank you for any input.

It's Brush McCoy, shape 718. It's from the "Fawn" shape family circa 1933, in their "Art Vellum" glaze.

You vase differs slightly from the example shown on page 86 of the Sanfords Brush McCoy text, book 1. My guess is the addition of the extended rim lip was to facilitate use of the shape for a lamp base. Book gives dimensions as 7 1/2" tall and 8" wide.

Thank you so much. I also bought one the same exact color it is a regular tall cylindrical vase with the top in a sharp straight slant down. It us very smooth.
I think it is the same family and it is not signed. These are beautiful.  Do I try to clean it or leave it alone?
Again, thank you, I really appreciate it.

No reason not to clean it. A very mild abrasive like "barkeepers friend" (available at Walmart) will remove the pencil-like marks you describe, as will a metal polish such as simichrome. (I'm assuming you're referring to pencil-like marks on the bosdy of the vase.
The price on the bottom was the original price and most likely won't come off, but the cleaners mentioned above will remove most of it if it bothers you.
