Perry Mason was a retailer in Boston MA. The thing with this type of sewing machine is to look beyond the names or 'badges' to work out the maker - which can be very tricky. Often this is referred to as a 'badged' machine. Perry Mason themselves would have imported, branded and sold machines from many companies - either over time they changed suppliers, or they brought out a variety of machines which could have been from different suppliers at the same time. But knowing that one Perry Mason machine is, say, a New Home, doesn't mean that another one will be, and the 'New Companion' and the 'Improved New Companion' could be from different factories.
I'm pretty sure this machine is a DAVIS. http://www.sewmuse.co.uk/davis%20sewing%20machine.htm
