Here is another chair in my collection. I am interested to hear what people have to say about it. I would love to learn if people know any history or facts about such a chair. Thanks!

Beautiful chair. Has some age to it. Did the feet once have casters on them? Any markings on bottom?

I have one that is somewhat similar. On casters, much ore ornate, but similar cross-stitch design. Was grandmother, German or Poland.

Yes, I was wondering about casters on this. If this originally had casters, and I think it might have, it would be circa Victorian age, and it would have been a 'finer' chair. The chair above has some age patina, and so I looked at the feet. The bottom of the front two don't look completely flat to me, though I might be mistaken. It would be worth turning the chair over and inspecting the two front feet.

I just added a picture of the chair I inherited from my father's side of the family.

Hey everyone thank you for the input. I will check the feet the next time I see the chair. I do not have it here with me. Now that I look at it,it does look like the castors were sawed off, but I am not entirely sure. There was always something about this chair that screamed authentic to me. I will take some more detailed shots and post them within the next week. Have a great day!
