    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on my doll. The only thing I know is that her clothing is original, her body is stuffed and she seems to be made out of... I want to say a cross between wood and plastic maybe? Something like that. I am curious to know more about her. Any info. helps!
    Thanks!

Very cute . Your doll is made of Composition . Dates from 1930's -1940's . She is called a Mama doll as a general catch all for this type of doll. She has a bit of a character face rather than just a dolly face . She should have a mark on back of neck or just under hairline that indicates the maker of her . She appears made in USA doll but can you check back of neck and tell me what you see?

      Hi,
I just checked her again. Absolutely no markings on her at all. :( Is there any other way to tell for sure? The only thing I see under her hair line is the raised curly structure that would be her hair if she didn't have any.

Also, can you place a value on what she may be worth? I'm curious to know! :)

These mama dolls are quite easy to find and value is in pristine condition . Yours appears to have a replaced wig and also her clothes are vintage but they are baby clothes that some one put on her maybe many years ago . So They are not original to her from factory . I would say enjoy her :-) She is USA made since no markings on her .

Ok thank you. :) I bought her for my daughter who is 3 months old lol, in hopes that later in her life she can have it for some kind of investment. Thank you for your help! :)

Thats a good idea for her I am sure she will appreciate the doll when she is older . PS a heads up the paint on them is most likely lead based so be sure she is old enough not to put her in mouth :-) Glad to help and I wished I could have said she is rare and valuable but then any old doll is precious and deserve to be preserved .

Oh!!! Thank you for telling me! I didn't know that. Then again, I don't know much about antiques in general lol. I have a 1902 piano as well... a Fitzgerald upright.... I can't seem to get anyone to give me info on that... but then again I haven't posted it on here.:)
