Just by chance I was looking in my arsinal of jewelry and once again stumbled upon this wrist watch which has been long forgotten about and tucked away for many years, so I decided to post some pics of this timeless peice of history, I do not know if it is of any $$ value but just the same it is a part of the baby boom era so I thought I would share it with all of you character watch collectors who appreciate such a timeless peice. The condition is fair after all it is showing its age. I dont know if it is still working & for fear of doing any damage I chose not to investigate any further.
The history I have on this peice is that it was once the proud owner of my mother who had visited disney world as a child herself, not certain of the age of this peice but lets just say she passed at the age of 72 in 2005 & left this peice to me in which I had tucked it away & forgotten all about it until I stumbled on it today. My mind takes me back to a ara in time that only walt disney fans such as myself could appreciate. If anyone has any history to tell me about the date range in which this peice was first distributed along with any other info you are willing to share & tell me, it would be deeply appreciated. Hello ksmcraft13, your watch is a 1947 Ingersoll Mickey. These were the second style Mickey watch produced after WW2. The box is not the original, nor the band. But this is a very nice example of the 47. I have one of these posted also, with the 48, just to show the difference in the two, and their original boxes. Check them out if you get a chance. Thanks for sharing your mother's treasure and I love it. Best Regards, Kerry

Well, I'll see if I can share a little more. Ingersoll had the Disney contract from 1933-71, And in Dec of 1946 these watches were introduced. They carried the "Ingersool" logo on the dial, but truth be known, Ingersoll was now the US Time Corp. (which later became Timex).Your watch has the US Time logo on the back cover. These watches also were the first Ingersoll watches to have pupils in his eyes, instead of the "Pie-Eyed" versions of the early models. It's original cost was $6.95. These are known to be the first post-war Ingersoll's, but as I said earlier, they would be second to the Kelton version(which is also US Time). I think yours has an approx collector value of around $50, but as a family piece, priceless. Hope I've answered any questions you might have had, but if not ask away and I'll try to answer them.

Wow so informative....tytytyvm I had made note of this info to place along with the watch, having this info makes it all worth wild and yes this piece is of sentimental value to me as it did for my mother. Is there any way that I could replace the band with the original one and box to? I hope by requesting this im not violating any web site guild lines if so I appoligise. ty ksmcraft13

You can watch E-bay, the box come up from time to time. The band, again watch for listings of these square ones with a fair to good band , sometimes the junk watch has a good band and cost will be minimal, around $10-15 should pick one of those up. The box is another story, a nice box brings A nice price. If you go to the "Bay" and search, I'd use the term "Mickey Ingersoll" or "Mickey US Time" for a search. This will break down your time . Remember, if you try this option, don't buy a Round version, they are a smaller case size. I just got back from the "Bay" and there is a couple listed now. There is also a very nice Buy-it-now one in the box, but nice price also.
