My son found this foot locker at a flea market a couple of months ago. We asumed that it was an old army foot locker, but when we researched Co. 529, Emery, Utah we discovered that it was actually a Civilian Conservation Corp camp.

Forgot to say, the trunk was made by the Shwayder Trunk Co. of Denver which eventually became the Samsonite Co.

When I saw CCC had to stop and look. My Dad was in the CCC's and the stories! Will have to double check if those trunks in the garage have any markings. Interesting. Lotz of history.

The CCC was run like the military and even had US Army personel as the cadre.
