hi everyone, I havent spent much time on this site in quite some time. Will post a bunch of my recent finds this evening.
This one is a cool weight scale I bought at auction last night. This is a Dayton scale manufactured by Hobart and is double sided with scales on both sides for the butcher and the customer to both see the weight. On the butchers side the weight scale calculates the cost based on how many cents/pound the meat was. On the customer side the advertising header reads "Sliced Meats..tasty, tempting, ready to serve"
This cleaned up really well, the porcelin is in great shape, I got the advertising plaquard out and there was a small crack that had old tape holding it together. After cleaning it and the glass it turned out pretty good. The scale is lighted, the light only comes on when weight is added to the tray. Porceline is all in great shape.
Any info about this item is appreciated.
Ah Dayton, the home of some of the finest built stuff ever! Beautiful piece Jamey! I assume it's porcelain? Great find!
Thanks Signaholic, yes it is all porcelain
