I picked this up at the Alameda Pointe Flea Market a few years ago. I assume that this was a salesman's sample, although i don't really know for sure. there's a quarter on it in the first picture, to give you an idea of the scale.
This was specially made for Charlie Sheen to try to cut down his sperm count. It didn't work & why you found it in a flea market. There was actually a pair.
NOW That's funny, but not sure if correct explaination for the size of this or not. Back in the day, long time ago, the JA(Junior Achievement) club I was in made some of these and huge paper-clips and mounted them on a wooden base with a Pen stand for "Letter-Holders" and sold them around town.

Besides Mr. Sheen might be a BIG TV star, but He might not be that Big, lol
I can't verify size or even make a guess. Actually don't care about anybody else's!
Understand he had had a few when he ordered them. I'll see if my impeccable sources have any more details.
It could be a clamp, not a clothes pin, it would work great in the wood working shop. ( not so well in the bedroom )
I have a similar one from among my late uncle's vast collection of (now vintage) tools. If not for woodworking and handyman projects, I can see this used as a clothespin for large laundry, like blankets. I also have a couple of oversize "clothespins" purposely with that look that are promotional items used as letter holders, like mentioned above.
