I picked up this bowl yesterday at a yard sale. It was difficult to photograph the letters underneath, so i placed letters which look like them over the actual letters in the third pic. i think it says 1 - RC. does anyone recognize it? thanks.

did peters and reed use a mark like 1-RC?

Not familiar with any marks other than numbers on P&R wares. Still, your low bowl looks like P&R Pereco. Didn't find the form in the Sanfords text (quick flip through, might've missed it). The clay is red, correct?

yes, the clay is dark red. it does look a lot like a Pereco piece, as varied as they are. i wonder how i might find this same pattern?

Do you think it could be Roseville Chloron?
    6. art.pottery, 12 years ago
Red clay body rules Chloron out.

thanks ar.pottery. i read somewhere that some early roseville was marked 'RC'. have you heard that before?
